Cheese and Onion Damper
Ingredients
- 1/2 T Apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 c Milk
- 1 c Flour
- 1/2 t Baking powder
- 1/2 t Salt
- 1/2 c Cheese
- 1 Brown onions
- 2 cl Garlic
Modified damper recipe with some nice add-ins. The main difference is to cover when baking, otherwise the onion burns.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200 C.
- Dice 1 onion and 2 cl garlic.
- Fry onion and garlic.
- In a jug, mix 1/2 T vinegar with 1/2 c milk.
- In a bowl, mix 1 c flour, 1/2 t baking powder, 1/2 t salt.
- Add milk to bowl and mix.
- Add 1/2 c cheese, onion, garlic.
- Knead gently in bowl.
- Bake foil-covered for 25 minutes. Bake uncovered for 10 minutes.
