Tomato Sauce
Ingredients
- 2x 400 g tins Canned tomatoes
- 1 Brown onion
- 75 g Butter
This is essentially Marcella Hazan’s infamous tomato sauce from her book “Essentials of Classic Italian Cooking”.
Instructions
- Skin and halve 1 onion.
- Add onion halves and 75 g butter to a saucepan along with 2x 400 g tins of tomatoes.
- Simmer for 45 minutes.
- Remove onion and serve with spaghetti.
